Community Guidelines

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Welcome to the Vignetta community of people who love stories! Our Community Guidelines help ensure the Vignetta platform ( https://www.getvignetta.com, the Vignetta mobile app, and related services, collectively the "Service") remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone to discover, share, and connect through stories told via videos. These guidelines apply to all users, whether you're watching, commenting, or uploading content, and complement our Terms of Service and other policies.

We encourage free expression and creativity but expect all users to follow these rules to keep Vignetta a positive environment. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or termination, with a system of strikes to address repeated or severe breaches. Learn more about our enforcement process in our Terms of Service.

Our Rules

Below are the key guidelines for content and behavior on Vignetta. Content includes videos, comments, thumbnails, playlists, and any other materials you share on the Service.

1. Respect the Community

No Hate Speech or Harassment

Do not post content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, or any other protected characteristic. Do not harass, bully, or threaten others, including through targeted insults, doxxing, or stalking.

No Harmful or Dangerous Content

Do not share content that encourages or depicts dangerous activities, such as self-harm, extreme stunts, or illegal acts, that could lead to serious injury or harm.

No Violent or Graphic Content

Avoid posting excessively violent, gory, or shocking content, including depictions of graphic injuries, animal cruelty, or real-world violence, unless it has clear educational or documentary value and is appropriately contextualized with warnings.

2. Respect Intellectual Property

Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not post videos, music, images, or other materials that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights unless you have permission or a legal right (e.g., fair use). Learn more by reading our Copyright Policy.

If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed, submit a notice through our #questions-and-support channel on our community Discord.

3. Keep Content Appropriate

No Nudity or Sexual Content

Do not post pornographic material, explicit sexual content, or nudity. Content with educational, artistic, or documentary value may be allowed if appropriately labeled and age-restricted.

No Child Endangerment

Content that exploits, endangers, or depicts harm to minors is strictly prohibited. We report such content to authorities as required by law.

No Misleading Content

Do not share content that misleads users, such as deceptive thumbnails, titles, or tags, or content that promotes misinformation likely to cause harm (e.g., false health claims).

4. Maintain Platform Integrity

No Spam or Scams

Avoid posting repetitive, misleading, or automated content, such as spam comments, fake engagement (e.g., buying views or likes), or phishing scams.

No Impersonation

Do not impersonate other individuals, channels, or organizations, including through fake accounts or misleading branding.

No Unauthorized Data Collection

Do not collect or share personal information (e.g., names, addresses, or faces) without explicit consent, including through facial recognition or other identifying technologies.

5. Comply with Laws

All content and behavior must comply with applicable local, national, and international laws, including those related to hate speech, privacy, and illegal activities.

Do not post content that promotes or depicts illegal activities, such as drug trafficking, terrorism, or violence.

Enforcement

We use a combination of automated systems, human review, and user reports to enforce these guidelines. If your content or behavior violates these rules, we may:

  • Remove the content (e.g., videos, comments, or thumbnails).
  • Issue a strike, which may restrict your ability to upload, comment, or use other features. Repeated or severe violations may lead to channel termination.
  • Notify you of the action and reason, unless doing so would violate legal requirements, compromise an investigation, or cause harm to users or the Service.
  • Report illegal content to authorities as required.

You can appeal strikes or content removals in our #creator-support channel if you believe they were issued in error.

Strike System

When you get a strike, you're told via email. You can also choose to have notifications sent to you through your mobile and computer notifications, and in your channel settings. We'll also tell you:

  • What content was removed
  • Which policies it violated (for example harassment or violence)
  • How it affects your channel
  • What you can do next

If we find your content doesn't follow our policies, you'll get a strike.

3 strikes in the same 90-day period may result in your channel being permanently removed from the platform.

Note: Deleting your content doesn't remove a strike. We may also issue a Community Guidelines strike on deleted content. You can learn more about when we retain deleted content in our Privacy policy.

The service also reserves the right to restrict a creator's ability to create content at its discretion. Your channel may be turned off or restricted from using any features of the service.

If this happens, you're prohibited from using, creating, or acquiring another channel to get around these restrictions. This prohibition applies as long as the restriction remains active on your channel. Violation of this restriction is considered circumvention under our Terms of Service, and may result in termination of all your existing channels, any new channels that you create or acquire, and channels in which you are repeatedly or prominently featured.

Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, report it in our #content-reporting Discord channel. We review all reports and take action as needed to keep our community safe.

Additional Policies

Some features, like the Vignetta's Reward Partner Program, or Vignetta Subscriptions, have additional policies. Check our #help channel for details.

Our Commitment

We're committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and creative community. These guidelines may be updated to reflect new features, legal requirements, or community needs. Check the latest version to view any new changes.

Thank you for helping make Vignetta a great place for everyone to enjoy and tell stories!

Effective as of January 1, 2026.
